The conference’s objectives were driven by the urgent need to create meaningful spaces and pathways for women from diverse backgrounds, ensuring their voices shape agendas rather than merely filling seats on panels or task forces. Pushing Back Against Barriers to safe civic spaces conference explored solutions to Structures that perpetuate the systemic silencing of marginalized women, questioning social structures, policies, economic injustice and cultural biases that create barriers to women’s dignity and participation.
